Materials
We work with all ferrous and non-ferrous materials from mild steel through to aluminium, copper and duplex stainless steels. Our team of welders have expertise in exotic welding, especially working with high temperature alloys such as 253MA and High Nickel Alloy 601. We are New Zealand’s Premier Heavy Industry, High Temp, Stainless Steel Fabrication Specialists.
General Welding
Our welding department, serviced by a 7.5 tonne overhead crane and purpose built WAG multi-surfacer, undertakes an extensive range of repair, maintenance and production welding.
Staff are certified to AS/NZS2980 and have access to all modern and less common welding processes, enabling them to choose the most cost effective method for the job.
We have sophisticated profiling, cutting and punching machines to fabricate metal components before they are welded. Technical knowledge is continuously updated through our close association with the Heavy Engineering Research Association, the Marine Division of the Ministry of Transport and welding consumable manufacturers and suppliers.
