New Starters – second half 2016
We have had a number of new staff join us over the latter half of the year. Although many have met them in person now, we believe our website is a great place to provide a little background on their history and interests. A opportunity to get to know your team mates a bit better.
Cherise Collins
Accounting Assistant/Payroll
Cherise Collins started at IMG in April as Accounting Assistant/Payroll based at the Glenbrook site.. With her extensive knowledge of accounting she will be chasing up all your outstanding purchase orders and invoices with gusto. Please help her save time by keeping on top of it before she has to chase you for it.
Hailing originally from Durban, South Africa Cherise has been in kiwi-land for 7 years, currently living in Tuakau with hubby and two littlies. In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with her friends and spending lots of quality time with her family.
Gerard Pieterse
Sales Engineer
Gerard Pieterse, has started with us as Sales Engineering based at Takanini. Gerard will be spending a lot of his time on the road visiting existing customers and establishing a new customer base for our Wiri Workshop.
Hailing from South Africa near Johannesburg, Gerrard completed an apprenticeship with Vecor Heavy Engineering (Dorbyl) as a Fitter & Turner. After qualifying he moved to Roxound Engineering, Tosa Tubes and then turned his hand to Sales as a Sales Engineer at Derry Engineering.
Gerard met and married a lovely NZ gal and in 1999 after travelling and working through Europe and South Africa they decided to move to NZ so that their two children could spend time with their extended family. On days off Gerard is into gardening, day walks, rugby live music shows and spending loads of time with his grandson.
Sarah Parkinson
HSE Manager
After a period away, Sarah has returned to IMG in 2016 as the National HSE Manager. Her career at IMG started in 2002, originally in administration, progressing into various HSE roles.
With over 15 years experience in Health and Safety, Sarah has worked in various sectors including food manufacturing, aviation, electricity distribution, heavy industry engineering, mining and manufacturing, supported by international certification through IOSH.
Sarah’s focus is in training and development, cultural change, coaching and mentoring, not big stick… For her, its all about empowering people to engage in health and safety, listening and making a difference to provide a safe and healthy work environment.
Sarah is involved in Scouts and also enjoys cake decorating when she is home with hubby and two wee cherubs.
Liz Edmonds
Takanini Reception
Based at Takanini on Reception (Mon-Wed), Liz is your go to gal for print and web based needs… be it business cards, document formatting or blog writing.
Liz’ has a background in Administration and IT Projects/Communications within the technology and liquor industries. More recently she has been contracting online with overseas clients and gained experience in many cloud applications and graphic/video editing. She has a broad range of office skills that and I’m sure we will find plenty for her to get involved in at IMG.
Based on a lifestyle block just outside of Waiuku with hubby and 3 half grown rascals, in her ‘spare time’ she enjoys cake decorating and Cub Scouts.
