Originating from New Zealand Steel’s Glenbrook site in 2003, our innovative concept behind Shutdowns and Projects proved successful, the company grew from small scale contracting to our current position as one of the predominant maintenance and shutdown contractors within New Zealand. We are now a major provider of heavy industrial maintenance solutions, fabrication and construction services with an ever growing clientele.

Acquiring considerable experience operating across manufacturing, commercial, utility, food and beverage and heavy industrial sites, IMG has significant industry exposure and proudly achieves challenging milestones. Privately owned and employing over 110 permanent personnel, complimented by a significant pool of regular contractors and casual employees, we are continuing to expand our skill base to deliver on time and overcome the pressure of completing challenging projects.

Adopting the above philosophy, IMG is a prime provider of mechanical, rigging, scaffolding, off-site manufacturing, industrial labour and confined space management to meet wider maintenance, projects and operational requirements. Through strategic acquisitions, IMG has operations at Takanini, Glenbrook, Wiri, Kinleith and Kawerau.  These facilities offer maintenance and project

services to the heavy industry sector. Our Head Office workshop at Takanini is currently licensed to manufacture steel beams and we are accredited to ISO: 3834.

IMG is a leading example of Health & Safety and Quality in the primary sector. With memberships to SARNZ and HERA coupled with our accreditation to ASNZS 4801 and ISO 9001:2008, we have the systems and safety record to maintain our Tertiary level ACC Accreditation. We use these systems and structure to drive continuous improvement and add real value to all of our clients.

We have amassed considerable experience within our immediate team, associates and sub-contractors in delivering maintenance and project services on a wide range of heavy industrial and other New Zealand sites.
